Dwyane Wade’s PKWY Brand Launches with the Release of its first capsule, “Wade County”

The three sock styles pay homage to Dwyane’s adopted hometown and will be featured at a PKWY Brand launch event in Miami on October 6th

MIAMIOct. 2, 2018 /360WiseNews/ — PKWY (Parkway), the sock company founded by Dwyane Wade in partnership with Stance, today released its first lifestyle collection called Wade County. Inspired by Wade’s adopted hometown, the 3-pack pays tribute to the culture, architecture and vibrant color found throughout Miami.

PKWY, which came to market in February of this year, was co-founded by Wade in partnership with Stance – the brand known for turning socks into a statement piece. Dwyane and Stance have worked together since 2013 when he became the first NBA athlete to represent the company and co-created an ongoing collection that carried his name.

PKWY is designed and priced to appeal to Dwyane’s wide fan base and is accessible in national retailers such as KOHL’S and Target. Up to this point, PKWY has only released casual NBA and MLB-licensed socks, making the Wade County collection the first non-sports related styles to come to market under the PKWY brand.  Inspired by the sports and culture that motivate Dwyane, similar capsule collections will launch on a monthly basis at pkwy.com.

Limited quantities of the Wade County Sock 3-pack and 16″ x 20″ Print will be available exclusively at PKWY.COM and the PKWY Brand launch event that will take place on Saturday, October 6th at 260 NW 28th Street in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The event will be hosted by Dwyane and will feature murals by local artists Atomik, Brian Butler, KneeToFace, and Noah Levy. The event will also include exhibitions where attendees will be able to virtually step inside the three sock designs.

The finished product captured the simple yet dynamic story behind the Lands’ End maintenance team, what quality means to them and how they take pride in what they wear to work every day and how they do their jobs. Built around the workers themselves, the campaign created a lifestyle concept using authentic personal stories to forge an authentic customer connection.
