Although temperatures began to rise today around northern California, our weather was still quite pleasant for early August. Enjoy the below-average highs will we have them, because hotter weather will return soon.

A trough of low pressure is now on its way out of our region, and the brief cooling trend we've experienced is coming to an end. Isolated showers and thunderstorms have tried to pop up today, but our chances for more active weather are being reduced rapidly. Tonight we can expect a mostly clear to clear sky with weakening breezes and continued comfortable lows. Morning lows will range from the 40s and lower 50s in the mountains to the 60s in the foothills and the valley. Friday will be another mostly sunny to sunny day with our next warming trend beginning.
